According to the reports, the situation may get worse in the coming days and can cause severe problems to Thalassemia patients. This comes after the people in Hyderabad preferred to stay indoors and the donation of blood has come down.

People are avoiding to go to the hospital for donating blood, no blood donation camps were also conducted due to the closure of IT companies and colleges. The situation can become severe for Thalassemia patients who might even succumb due to the blood shortage.

On Sunday, alerts sent on to various platforms due to the shortage of blood.

The people are scared to visit the hospitals especially the state-run hospitals in the view of spreading coronavirus. Not only the hospitals but all the places in Hyderabad also wore a deserted look with the people staying indoors to prevent themselves from getting infected by the virus.
