Warangal: Ahead of Vinayaka Chaturthi idol processions and immersion, the Warangal Police Commissionerate on Tuesday issued traffic advisory for the motorists in the city and for those coming from other places. The traffic regulations will begin at 3 pm on September 11 and will go on till 10 am on September 12.

The heavy vehicles coming to Warangal from Bhupalpally and Mulugu will have to park at Sailani Baba Dargah. The vehicles coming from Khammam side have to be parked at Naidu Pump House; and vehicles coming from Narsampet will be parked at Gorrekunta crossroad. The vehicles coming from Hyderabad route have to be parked at Rampur. The parking for vehicles coming from Karimnagar is at Baopet Cross road.

Commissioner of Police V Ravinder said that devotees will be allowed to immerse only small idols in Padmakshi Gundam lake, the main attraction of the city. He said that city buses will not be plied during the immersion.

According to police, there are 6,182 Ganesh pandals in the Commissionerate limits. The police, who

made elaborate arrangements for the festival, had also geotagged all the idols for the peaceful conduct of the nimajjanam.
