Grandeur marks Bathukamma celebrations in Wanaparthy
Continuing the festivities on the fifth day in Wanaparthy, District Collector Swetha Mohanty along with Wanaparthy Zilla Parishad Chairman Loknath Reddy took part in the Bathukamma celebrations held at Peddacheruvu mini tank bund on Thursday.

The fifth day of the Bathukamma festivities were being organised by Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Raj departments, where in a large number of people from Wanaparthy took part in the Bathukamma procession.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that this time the district administration has decided to celebrate the nine-day Bathukamma festival in a grand way by involving every department in the district.
"Bathukamma festival is the festival that reflects the culture and tradition of Telangana women. The nine-day festival is celebrated with grand fervour. As the government is celebrating it officially, we want all the people both in the rural and urban areas to take part in celebrations and showcase our culture and tradition to the world," said Loknath Reddy.
