Hyderabad: An ensemble of eminent musicians and dancers showcased the splendour of artistic heritage in a tribute to saint Tyagaraja.

In a day-long Aradhanotsava (birth anniversary) celebrations conducted by Vagdevi Music Institute, musicians rendered the traditional Panch Ratna songs of the poet saint and artists performed Mohiniattam, Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi dance sequences.

Artiste-couple T Umashankar and Subbulakshmi of Vagdevi Music Institute said the host of partipants included Carnatic classical experts Nandikunta Venkateswarlu, TTD vilonist Sashibhusan, Dattatreya, Sudhakar and Udayavani, Rajagopalachari, Jayakumarachari, Nageswara Rao and Vijayakumar.

Eminent Kuchipudi dancer Surendranath and his danseuse-wife gave a delightful jugalbandi of Kuchipudi and Mohiniattam while Gita Lata and Narsinga Rao presented Bharatanatyam dance items.
