Hyderabad: Auto driver turns good samaritan, returns Rs 1.5 lakh cash

An auto-rickshaw driver returned Rs 1.5 lakh to its rightful owner who forgot the cash and other silver ornaments in the auto.

Syed Mehtab, who runs an auto in SR Nagar drew praise from the police after he returned the cash to them who handed over it to the passenger.

The passenger of Rehmathnagar carried the cash in a bag for shopping for her daughter's marriage and got an auto at SR Nagar. She later got down the auto and left the bag in the vehicle.

The woman lodged a complaint with the police who traced the driver. When the police inquired, the driver returned the cash which was handed over to the passenger.
