Chandanagar: Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi, along with local Corporator Bobba Navatha Reddy and GHMC officials, on Wednesday laid the foundation with the estimated cost of Rs 70.5 lakh CC road works near KSR Enclave and construction of footpath on either side of the road from Deeptisrinagar NH 65 to Andhra Bank. Speaking on the occasion, Gandhi stated that special attention was being paid to development. He pledged to get more funds sanctioned for developing the division as a model by providing basic facilities in a phased manner.

The MLA told the officials to expedite the pace of work and to bring the roads and footpaths for public use at the earliest. He assured the residents to provide developed roads for easy public travel, while maintaining that he was relentlessly striving for giving a facelift to the Serilingampally constituency.

The GHMC officials present on the occasion were DE Rupa Devi, Works Inspector Jagdish, former councilor Raghavendra Rao, Sunita Reddy, TRS division president Raghunath Reddy, Madhapur division chief Erragudla Srinivas Yadav, general secretary Venkateshwarlu, party leaders Gopi, Raju, Prabhakar Reddy, Akbar Khan, Ghouse, Anant Reddy, colony president Linga Reddy, vice-president Rajkumar, general secretary Venkatesh, treasurer Umapathi, joint secretary Chary, committee members Chandu, Sridhar, Ramchandar and Srinivas.

Corporator tours Mahaveernagar

Allwyn Colony: Local Corporator Dodla Venkatesh Goud asserted that he was undertaking regular tours in the division for ushering in development works. He was speaking after conducting a surprise inspection of CC road works in Mahaveernagar Colony, along with residents. Goud told the residents that he was striving for the all-round development of all colonies in the division. He interacted with officials over phone to ensure that the works were not delayed and completed at the earliest.

Later, the corporator inspected the sanitation work in Yellammabanda main road, along with ward members Chinnolla Srinivas, Area Committee members Ramulu Goud, colony association president Harish, TRS leaders Bhaskar, Veeresham and Ramchandar.
