Hyderabad: National Lok Adalat settles 10,407 cases
The National Lok Adalat (NLA) held on Saturday settled 10,407 cases.
Hyderabad: The National Lok Adalat (NLA) held on Saturday settled 10,407 cases. The cases settled up to 5 pm in all the districts of Telangana State are 3,984 pre-litigation cases and 6,423 court pending cases of all categories. An amount of Rs 36.35 crore was awarded as compensation in the settled cases.
According to the State Legal Services Authority, the NLA was organised in pursuance of the guidelines issued by the National Legal Services Authority, and it was organised by the Telangana State Services Authority.
Under the guidance and leadership of Justice Raghvendra S Chauhan, Chief Justice of High Court for the State of Telangana and Patron-in-Chief, Telangana State Legal Services Authority, Justice M S Ramachandra Rao, Executive Chairman, Telangana State Legal Services Authority and Justice P Naveen Rao, Chairman, High Court Legal Services Committee, the Telangana State Legal Services Authority coordinated with all the district legal services authorities in the State and organised the NLA, it said.
