Hyderabad: The total number of coronavirus positive cases touched 12 at Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad with the report of five new cases. On Monday, the authorities have initiated coronavirus tests to all 280 students who include 180 female and 100 male students.
Around five students tested positive for the coronavirus on Tuesday and 58 tested negative. Reports of remaining students are yet to be awaited. The coronavirus scare among the medical students left the students in a panic ahead of the exams scheduled from June 20.
Samples of all the students staying in hostels have been collected. Meanwhile, other students at the medical college were asked to report to the principal's office if they develop the symptoms of coronavirus. The students are requested not to hide their symptoms.
Meanwhile, the students are worried about the upcoming exams. They are holding meetings insisting that the exams must be postponed. On the other hand, the PG medicos are demanding PPE kits to those who are on duty at Petlaburj maternity hospital, Fever and Osmania hospital.
