Jagitial: Officials told to provide basic facilities in merged villages
District Collector A Sharath on Saturday directed officials of Municipal department to take necessary steps for providing all facilities that are required in the newly-merged villages with the municipalities in Jagitial district.
Jagitial: District Collector A Sharath on Saturday directed officials of the Municipal department to take necessary steps for providing all facilities that are required in the newly-merged villages with the municipalities in Jagitial district.
The Collector along with the Jagitial MLA Dr Sanjay Kumar held a meeting with the municipal officials to discuss facilities to be provided in the merged villages in his chamber at the Collectorate.
Sharath directed the officials of the Engineering department to estimate the cost of lighting systems, construction of drainage and laying of interlinking roads in the merged villages. The Collector ordered the municipal officials to maintain the sanitation in the merged villages by weeding out the unwanted plants, cleaning drainages regularly and not allowing the water to remain stagnant which may lead to increase of mosquito and housefly population.
He also ordered them to grow palms trees on the bunds of the lakes and tanks under various municipalities along with establishing rythu bazaars and to take up road widening works.
