Rangareddy: Chevalla MLA Kale Yadaiah spoke on Kaleshwaram project to media at his camp office on Friday. He said it was world's largest multi-stage lift irrigation project built over Godavari River at Mahadevapuram in Jayashankar Bhoopalpally district.
"The project will help 13 districts. The Rs 80,500 crore project has the capacity to hold 225 tmcft water," he added. He lauded Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for bringing up this novel project which is the major step towards realising the goal of Bangaru Telangana.
He thanked Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Governor ESL Narasimhan for gracing the inauguration of the project.
