Five government school teachers in the district were suspended for acting in favour of a headmaster, who was accused of sexually abusing six minor girls.

The teachers, G Veerabhadram, Ch Ramaiah and J Lingaiah of ZPSS, Mailaram and T Seshagiri Rao of MPSS, Chintavarre in Lakshmidevipalli mandal, P Srinivas Rao of MPSS, K Anjanapuram in Sujatha Nagar mandal were suspended, DEO
E Somashekara Sharma informed in a statement released here on Friday.
The teachers have conducted a 'panchayat' supporting Chintavarre Government Primary School headmaster Dodda Sunil Kumar, who was accused of sexually abusing six minor girls of the school. They tried to settle the matter with the parents of the victims on behalf of the accused. Based on the complaints by the victim's parents and the confessions of the villagers, the erring teachers were suspended, Sharma said.
