Miryalguda (Nalgonda): Lawyers under the aegis of bar association on Thursday staged a protest on Khammam road near the court in Miryalaguda against Section 41 of Criminal Procedure Code, which shows serious impact on the profession.

As part of their protest, they boycotted the court on second successive day. Speaking on this occasion, Miryalaguda Bar Association president Nethi Satyanaryana demanded the government to withdraw Section 41 CrPC which provides bail to accused at police station itself.

The law will help the culprits to escape from the case, he opined. Stating that only judges have power to grant bail, he informed that police officials have no right to grant bail to anybody as per the law. But 41 CrPC besides hampering the judiciary also creates a lot of disturbance to common people.

He demanded the Central government to rollback its decision and added that culprits must be produced before the court to render justice to the victims.

Lawyers L Srinivas, G Chandra Shekar Reddy, M Saidulu, Gangadhar, Kumar Reddy, Jyothi, Sridevi, Kalyan, Paramesh and others participated.
