Police suspect it to be the handiwork of interstate gang, collect clues from the site

Nagarkurnool: As many as eight locked houses have been burgled by unidentified miscreants in Buddasamudram Colony of Timmajipet mandal in Nagarkurnool district on Friday.

According to Timmajipet police, the burglars targeted the locked houses and decamped with large amounts of money and gold ornaments.

"We are suspecting the hand of some interstate gang as the burglars have systematically targeted only the locked houses. We have already collected some clues from the crime site and started an investigation. Very soon we will trace and arrest them," said the police.

As this is the season for marriages, festivals and other events, most of the people are locking their houses and going out of station for one or two days. Taking advantage of this, the burglars are targeting the locked houses.

The police have cautioned the general public that before going to other places and locking the houses, they need to either inform the neighbours to keep an eye or at least use the police WhatsApp application or add the location of their houses to the police WhatsApp number so that the they could take up patrolling in those areas.
