Miryalaguda (Nalgonda): The residents of Bapuji Nagar and Prakash Nagar along with Bharatiya Janata Party leaders participated in a road blockade on Sagar-Miryalaguda road near Food Corporation of India warehouse against the pollution causing mills on Thursday. A large number of vehicles were stranded on the either sides of the road due the protest.

Learning about the protest, local Circle Inspector Donthireddy Srinivas Reddy, Sub-Inspector Rafi rushed to the spot and interacted with the protestors.

Soon, a scuffle broke out between the youth and the police when the police tried to disperse the agitators.

Expressing their anger, protestors took out a rally in the town and staged a protest before the office of the Revenue Divisional Officer and submitted a memorandum to the RDO Raghunath seeking stringent action against the pollution causing mills in the interest of people living around the mills.

In this programme, the residents of the affected colonies J Kamalakar Reddy, V Mallesh, J Gopinath, Samba, Punna Radha Krishna, Jagadish, Vijay, Mahesh, Saidulu, Naresh, Suresh and others participated.
