Nagarkurnool: Ambrabad police have arrested one person in connection with the murder case of a Maharashtra woman, who was found killed by slitting her throat in Nallamala forest area, two days ago. She was identified as Shanta Ravimudiliar (50), who was killed on the way to Akkamahadevi temple in Nallamala forest.

According to the Ambrabad Sub Inspector Raman Goud, the police took the case as a challenge and began investigation into the case based on the clues and evidences available from the spot.

"Based on the circumstances at the murder spot we could get vital clues in the murder case of the women. We started our investigation and zeroed in on one person named Ramakrishna, alias Matka Swamy.

The accused is from Tamil Nadu. We have registered a case against him and send him to remand," informed the SI. Earlier it is suspected that the woman was brought by the Matka Swamy and was said to have performed Kshudra pooja before slitting her throat.

The entire area of death spot was spilled with vermillion and turmeric power. With this, the police suspected it as a murder done by someone who performs the Kshudra poojas. The accused was produced before the media on Thursday.
