Hyderabad: Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Anil Kumar on Monday convened a meeting with the owners and managers of long route private buses plying in Hyderabad City and informed them about the rules and regulations in respect of plying of long route private buses in Hyderabad City.

They were instructed not to enter into the city before stipulated time i.e, before 10.00 p.m., not to use Multi toned/Air Horns which are causing noise pollution in the city, and causing inconvenience to the other motorists on the roads and not to park the buses in a zig zag manner which obstructs the free flow of traffic and to follow lane discipline.

Addl. CP Traffic also informed the officers of Traffic Police to hold meeting with the managements of the private travelers in their PS limits and identify the suitable places for pickup and alighting of passengers in the city without causing traffic congestion and make arrangements to send the private bus drivers to attend training/counseling at Traffic Training Institute Goshamahal to create awareness on traffic rules and safety.

Anil Kumar instructed private travel operators to strictly adhere to the stipulated timings and warned if any private buses are found violating the traffic rules, cases will be booked and buses will be seized and handed over to the RTA department.
