Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday addressed the Combined Graduation Parade at the Air Force Academy in Dundigal where he said that one must always be ready to protect the country's sovereignty.

He congratulated the cadets who are going to take charge as commissioned officers and also participated in the passing out parade. The minister said that the country would give a befitting reply to transgressions by China and also believed that any dispute will be resolved in a peaceful manner. He said that the talks between Indian and China were in progress and slammed Pakistan for waging a proxy war with India through terrorists.

"We also train people from Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Nigeria and the country has already proven that it can face enemies in any kind of situation," he said adding that compared to the past, the Indian Air Force has advance machinery.

He said that Rafale fighter jets gave more strength to the Air Force and added that more technology will be available in the coming days.

"The Air Force not only performed adventures in breaking through enemies but also created golden records. The experience gained so far in the academy is different from the consequences that will happen in the future. Be prepared with all of them in mind. Peace is our motto. There is no tolerance if anyone tries to tarnish the sovereignty of our country," Rajnath Singh said.
