Hyderabad: Intermediate board officials issued show-cause notices to private junior colleges run by Narayana, Sri Chaitanya and Sri Gayatri on Monday.
This was after some junior colleges operated on Monday in deviation of government's extension of holidays until October 19 order.
A team of officials led by Hyderabad DIEO (District Intermediate Education Officer) B Jayaprada Bai inspected nearly 15 colleges in the twin-cities and those who were found to run classes were sought explanations as to why they were running classes despite instructions from the Board on extension of holidays.
Officials warned off the loss of affiliation and imposing penalties to colleges that won't follow instructions.
