Hyderabad: Congress senior leader Marri Shashidhar Reddy on Wednesday urged vice chancellors of universities of the State to extend time for paying the fee for the final semester of final year.
In a letter to the VCs, he said that the final year final semester examinations for UG and PG courses may be held after July 15, depending upon the Covid-19 situation in the State. The last date of payment of examination fees was June 20.
It is estimated that the about two lakh students would appear for the exams. However, thousands of students have not been able to pay the examination fees so far because of the economic hardships being faced by them because of the prolonged lockdown in Telangana.
In view of this all the universities may extend the last date for payment of fees for the final year final semester (without late fees) till the end of June 2020.
