Hyderabad: Telangana has recorded highest crop out put in 2019-20 in the Primary Sector .

But the Secondary Sector saw a steep decline in the growth and the growth rate in the tertiary Sector also dipped a little, even as the Government made efforts for the promotion of services and industrial sectors on a large scale in the current year.

According to the socio economic survey 2020, released by Telangana Government, the highest ever crop output was recorded in the state in 2019-20 after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

The construction of giant irrigation projects like Kaleshwaram and the completion of the long pending projects like Kalwakurthi, Nettempdu and Bheema played a key role in the increase of crop out put .

The special measures mainly the distribution of cattle and the promotion of fish farming through free distribution of fish seeds helped to increase the livestock.

Forestry and logging also reported a growth of 4 per cent this year. However, the growth rate in mining and quarrying in the primary Sector was low when compared to the previous years.

In all, the primary Sector registered a staggering 15.8 per cent growth this year which is 2 per cent higher than the last year.

In the Secondary sector, manufacturing and construction saw a down trend in the growth . Electricity , gas , water supply and other utility services registered a lsight growth .

The official figures says the secondary sector's growth was declined to 5.3 per cent from 10.1 per cent.

The growth rate in the tertiary Sector also dipped a little from 14.9 per cent in 2018-19 to 14.1 in the current year of 2019-20, the report said that a steady growth was reported in the services like railways, air transport, communication and services related to broadcasting, real estate, ownership of dwellings and professional services in Telangana.

The other services in the tertiary Sector mainly- road transport, storage, financial services and services incident to transport dit not much growth.

Based on the outcome of the growth in the three sectors, government had projected the GSDP growth at 12.6 per cent this year
