The famous Uma Maheshwara temple in Achampet mandal of Nagarkurnool has been burgled on Sunday night. According to the CCTV cameras installed inside the temple, four burglars were seen roaming in the temple around 11 pm.

The priests who opened the temple on Monday morning found two big hundis and a small hundi broken and empty.

It is learned that the temple authorities have not opened the hundi for the last three months due to the Uma Maheshwaram jatara and Shivarathri festival. A huge amount of temple offerings is suspected to have been stolen by the thieves.
