Mahbubnagar: Stressing the need for judicious use of power by the people, the Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDCO) has decided to distribute Light Emitting Diode (LED) bulbs worth more than Rs 1 lakh to people of Mahbubnagar.

"TSREDCO is mandated to ensure that the people conserve the power and accordingly, we have decided to distribute LED lights in a phased manner. During first and second phase, we have distributed LED bulbs worth more than Rs 1 lakh. While in the open market, the LED bulbs are costing at Rs 130 per bulb, but the TSREDCO is providing it for just Rs 65 to the consumers.

As part of our third phase of release of LED bulbs and other power saving equipments to people of Mahbubnagar, we have decided to release 15,000 LED bulbs and 100 ceiling fans with a power limit of 28 watts at slashed prices to the consumer," said D Venugopal, District Manager, TSREDCO.

The fans and lights supplied by TSREDCO follow all the standard procedures and also gives warranty for fans, which will save power bills up to Rs 1,500 per annum. The TSREDCO authorities have urged the general public to conserve power and save their power by availing the offer.
