Van driver injured in freak accident in Nalgonda
The driver of a DCM van was injured in a freak accident that took place on Hyderabad-Vijayawada national highway on the outskirts of Narketpally in the district on Thursday.
Narketpally (Nalgonda): The driver of a DCM van was injured in a freak accident that took place on Hyderabad-Vijayawada national highway on the outskirts of Narketpally in the district on Thursday.
According to sources and the police, the DCM driver suffered injuries when his vehicle crashed into a lorry ahead of him that applied sudden brakes on the highway. In this incident, an Innova car also hit the DCM van on its rear side. However, no one travelling in the Innova car were hurt. The injured driver was shifted to Kamineni hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the incident led to a huge traffic jam on the national highway. Upon receiving information, the local police rushed to the spot and cleared the traffic besides shifting the injured driver to the hospital.
Based on the complaint of DCM driver, the Narketaplly police registered a case and took up the investigation.
