CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy set record in keeping promises, claims Peddireddy

Chittoor: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy successfully fulfilled all the promises under Navaratnalu in an unprecedented manner in the first one year of the YSRCP government's tenure, said panchayat raj and rural development minister Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy.

Addressing a meeting of party activists at Punganur on Saturday on the occasion of first anniversary of the Jagan's rule, the minister said the Chief Minister would distribute 25 lakh house site pattas to the beneficiaries on July 8, the birth anniversary of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy spending Rs 4,000 crore and 15 lakh houses would also be constructed for the poor in due course.

He said that Jagan Mohan Reddy was committed to supply drinking water through water grid covering all the villages , towns and cities in a phased manner. He stressed that effective steps would be taken to tackle the water scarcity.

"The YSRCP had a clean sweep in 2019 general elections winning 151 Assembly seats out of 175 and 22 MP seats out 25. This is a record for a regional party. During the last one year , the Chief Minister kept up all his poll promises. Stage has also been set to enforce total prohibition in the state," Ramachandra Reddy said.

He said that instructions were given to complete the construction of HNSS (Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravanti) canal to provide drinking water to Punganur.

On Covid, he sad the district administration was striving to combat the pandemic for which maintaining social distancing was the important requirement.

Ramachandra Reddy distributed essential goods for the sanitary workers and paid floral tributes to YSR's statue. Chittoor MP N Reddappa, Punganur municipal commissioner K L Varma, circle inspector Gangi Reddy and others were present .
