VPT holds Swachh Bharat valedictory function in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT) organised Swachh Bharat valedictory function at Sambamurthy Auditorium on Thursday. The VPT conducted several activities in and around the Port area.

While addressing on the occasion, Visakhapatnam Port Trust Chairman Rinkesh Roy stated that the people are becoming more broad-minded and coming out of the cocoon. The people became more environmentally aware, he said.

He said the VPT had conducted numerous activities to keep the Port area clean by planting trees, maintaining roads, truck tyre cleaning, construction of high-rise walls, deploying fog machines, sprinkling of water in order to suppress dust pollution and installation of solar power plant for using renewable energy.

He congratulated the entire team for taking all efforts in maintaining cleanliness in the Port area. VPT Deputy Chairman P L Haranadh also spoke.
