Visakhapatnam: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy have become 'traitors' of farmers, alleged Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president S Sailajanath here on Tuesday.

He demanded immediate withdrawal of the three 'controversial' agricultural Acts. He alleged that the three Acts recently enacted by the Centre were drafted in favour of business tycoons like Ambani. It's unfortunate that the AP Chief Minister also extended his support to the Acts and meted out step-motherly treatment to the farmers, he said.

Sailajanath demanded that Jagan Mohan Reddy should apologise to the farmers and pass a resolution in the Assembly against the three farm Acts enacted by the BJP-led NDA government. In Srikakulam, the Congress party has announced that the party leaders will block the installation of meters for motors in fields, he added.

The APCC president alleged that AP would become a riot-prone State under the Jagan Mohan Reddy's governance.

About Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, Sailajanath remarked that it's better not to talk about the Jana Sena chief.

Congress city president S Venkateswara Rao, Mahila Congress State president P Ramani Kumari and party leader S Sudhakar attended the press conference.
