Kadapa police busted international red sander smugglers recovered Rs 5 crores worth 3 tonnes red sander

Kadapa: In major breakthrough Kadapa district police have conducted raids on the go downs located at Katigena halli area in Karnataka state and recovered Rs 5crores worth 3tonees weighed red sander logs by arresting two international smugglers and  one interstate smuggler on Friday.

The accused were identified as Syed Mujeeb Bhai alias Moosa (51) Katigena Halli village Hospet mandal Bangalore rural district, Muhammad Gayaz Ahmed (36) Keel Kottal Lay out Bangalore, G.leela Kumar (21) Surappa gari palle village Peeleru mandal of Chittor district. Addressing the pres conference here on Saturday Additional SP (operations) B.Lakshmi Narayana said that recently Rajampet police arrested one interstate smuggler G.Leelakurmar recently. During the interrogation he revealed the name of Mujeeb Bhai, and Gayaz Ahmed hiding red sander which is collected locally and illegally transporting the precious wood to the   foreign countries.

The ASP said following tip off Rajampet police went to Bangalore and conducted raids at the Go downs at Katigena halli arrested the accused while indulging the crime. The ASP appreciated Rajampet rural CI K.Narasimha Rao and his men of their initiative in nabbing the smugglers.
