Addressing the micro-observers meeting held here on Monday, he said 450 micro-observers would take part in the counting of votes to be held on May 23.

The Collector mentioned counting of votes pertaining to Chittoor, Nagari, G D Nellore, Chandragiri, Puthalapattu, Palamaner and Kuppam Assembly constituencies would be held at Sreenivasa Institute of Technology and Management Studies (SITAMS).

"The micro-observers should reach the counting halls before 7.30 am on Thursday, he said and added strongrooms would be opened by 7.30 am. Counting of postal ballots would be started by 8 am and from 8.30 am onwards votes from EVMs would be counted, he stated. He said 450 tables arranged for counting in 28 halls.

No micro-observer would be allowed to carry mobile with him, he added. Pradyumna further stated that Section 144 would be promulgated at the counting centres.

Micro-observers from Chittoor, G D Nellore, Chandragiri, Puthalapattu, Palamaner, Kuppam, Tirupati, Srikalahasthi and Satyavedu participated. Joint Collector P S Girisha, Chittoor RDO Mallikharjuna and other officials were present.
