80 students selected in campus drive

Chirala: As many as 80 students of St Ann’s College of Engineering and Technology here have been selected in a campus recruitment drive conducted by Bonfiglioli Transmissions, College Secretary Vanama Ramakrishna Rao and Correspondent Srimanthula Lakshmana Rao said. They said in a statement here on Friday that the recruitment drive witnessed participation from 180 students, including 120 from the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department, 25 from Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) and 35 from Mechanical Engineering. The candidates were shortlisted through a group discussion followed by personal interviews. Of the 80 students selected, 33 were from ECE, 12 from EEE and 35 from Mechanical Engineering. Recruitment Officer N Purnachandra Rao said the selected candidates would receive an annual package of Rs 3 lakh, besides other allowances.

College Principal Dr K Jagadeesh Babu congratulated the students on their achievement and appreciated the efforts of the faculty and placement team in facilitating the recruitment process.

The selected students were also congratulated by Dr SVD Anil Kumar, Head of EEE; Dr D Rajendra Prasad, Head of ECE; Dr Lakshmi Tulasi Chavali, Head of Mechanical Engineering; Dr C Subba Rao, Director–Accreditations; Vanama Dora Naga Sainath, Director–Administration; and RV Ramana Murthy, Manager–Administration.
