Amaravati: The protests of farmers in capital Amaravati reached the 150th day on Friday demanding that the State government withdraw the three capitals proposal.

Despite the nationwide Covid-19 lockdown, the farmers in the region continued their peaceful protests at their homes in the capital villages. Meanwhile, TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu expressed concern over the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's government ignoring the farmers' plea though they have been agitating for the last 150 days.

Taking part in a virtual meeting with Amaravati JAC on thes occasion, Naidu deplored that instead of taking forward the dream project of the Sunrise State, the present government hatched a conspiracy to crush Amaravati in every way possible.

He recalled that 29,500 farmers came forward and gave 35,000 acres for constructing the new capital for the State. The farmers responded in an inspiring manner at a time when the new State was struggling due to lack of funds.
