JC Brothers-- Diwakar Reddy and Prabhakar Reddy on Saturday announced an indefinite fast from January 4 in protest against the alleged police harassment by fostering an atrocity case against former MLA J C Prabhakar Reddy and his son Ashmith Reddy, acting on a written complaint given by two members of scheduled caste community
Tadipatri (Anantapur): JC Brothers-- Diwakar Reddy and Prabhakar Reddy on Saturday announced an indefinite fast from January 4 in protest against the alleged police harassment by fostering an atrocity case against former MLA J C Prabhakar Reddy and his son Ashmith Reddy, acting on a written complaint given by two members of scheduled caste community.
Two persons filed a complaint against Prabhakar Reddy and his son accusing them of abusing them with filthy and atrocious language in the name of their community.
Despite the police imposing Section 144 under the Section 30 of the Police Act, the former MLA announced his intention to lodge an indefinite fast in protest against police harassment. They said that false cases were foisted on them to silence their voice.
Meanwhile SP Sathya Yesu Babu has warned that in the wake of Section 144 being in vogue, police permission for any public programme is a must. Action will be taken against anyone who violated Section 144 in the Tadipatri town.
