AP Dussehra holidays 2026 for schools from 12 October

The schools in Andhra Pradesh will observe Dussehra holidays from 12th to 21st October 2026, totalling ten days. However, Christian minority educational institutions have a slightly different holiday schedule.

Based on the official academic calendar, schools in Telangana will have 13 days of holidays, while schools in Andhra Pradesh will have 10 days and the claims of Andhra Pradesh also having 13 days is ruled out as per government announcement.

Vijayadashami falls on Tuesday, 20th October 2026 with Maharnavami on 19th October.

According to the schedule, the schools will have summative assessment exams in the first week of October followed by Dussehra holidays.
