After the finalization of probation, the government has taken steps to give increased wages to the employees of the village and ward secretariat as per the new PRC pay scale from this month. In order to pay them wages including DA, HRA, and other allowances along with the pay scale, the finance department has created new accounts (heads) and made additional budget allocations. In particular, Finance Secretary KVV Satyanarayana issued an order on Monday to release additional funds of Rs.768.60 crore earmarked for the salaries of village secretariat employees.

In this financial year, already Rs. 1,995 crores were released, and with the newly released funds, the total amount of Rs. 2,763.60 crores have been released by the Finance Secretary in the order. Increased wages for ward secretariat employees will also come to effect from this month. The finance department will issue an order releasing additional funds for this tomorrow.

Kakarla Venkatamireddy, Honorary President of Andhra Pradesh Village and Ward Secretariat Employees' Association said in a statement that despite it being a holiday, the finance department officials came on Sunday and drafted all the heads related to the salaries of the secretariat employees and prepared proposals for additional allocations following the increased salaries. He expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for issuing orders to pay new salaries to the employees of the secretariats as per his promise.

He said that the increased salaries of the employees of the ward secretariats will also be released separately. It is stated that all the employees who have been declared on probation should not worry as they will get salaries as per the pay scale. Meanwhile, as per the promise given, the probation of the secretariat employees has been finalized and the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is implementing the increased wages. Village and Ward Secretariat Employees Association State President Bhimreddy Anjan Reddy, General Secretary Bathula Ankamma Rao, State Additional Chief Secretary B.R.R. Kishore, Working Presidents Vipparthi Nikhil. Krishna, Bhargav Suthej expressed gratitude in a statement. State President of Village and Ward Secretariat Employees Federation M.D. Jani Pasha thanked CM Jagan in another statement.
