Archer Jyothi Surekha welcomed grandly at Gannavaram

World-renowned archer and four-time Asian Games gold medallist Vennam Jyothi Surekha arrived at Gannavaram Airport to a warm welcome from officials and sports enthusiasts.

Surekha won gold in the women’s compound archery event at the Asian Games held in Japan. After the reception, she travelled by road to Vijayawada.

Jyothi Surekha won a gold medal in the women's compound archery team event at the Asian Games. She has earned recognition as an athlete who has participated in and won medals at four consecutive Asian Games. She won a bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games in South Korea and a silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia. At the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, she secured three gold medals across the individual, team, and mixed team events.

Archer Vennam Jyothi Surekha has won gold, silver, and bronze medals across four consecutive Asian Games. She stated that she is training with the goal of winning a medal at the upcoming Olympics.
