Kakinada: Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kannababu instructed the officials to act firmly against encroachers of temple lands. Reviewing the encroachment of endowment lands issue with the officials here on Saturday, Kannababu said he would not tolerate any negligence in the matter of protecting endowment lands.
He added the officials should not neglect the protection of endowment lands including Lord Bhavannarayana Swamy Temple and Boggavarapu choultry lands. Discussing with officials over the registration of one-acre land belonged to Boggavarapu choultry, he said the officials can cancel the registration if it was wrong.
He said the endowment land of 0.57 cents which was in court litigation, should be sorted out immediately. He said that caution boards should be set up at endowment lands of Rameswaram, Madhavapatnam, Boggavarapu choultry and Nookalamma Temple lands.
Kannababu said the court matters should be sorted out by discussing with legal panels. Endowment Department Assistant Commissioner K S V D Prasad, Inspector V L N Reddy, Boggavarapu Choultry Executive Officer G Siva Babu and Bhavannarayana Swamy Temple Executive Officer Veerraju Chowdary were present.
