Freshers' Day celebrated at Vishnu College
Freshers’ Day was celebrated on a grand scale at Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women here on Saturday.
Bhimavaram: Freshers' Day was celebrated on a grand scale at Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women here on Saturday. The first year students were welcomed by their seniors at the event. Dance performances and fashion show by the girls attracted the attention of the audience.
They indulged in lot of fun and frolic. The college principal, Dr G Srinivasa Rao and Vice-principal Dr P Srinivasa Raju speaking on the occasion, said that the students should be aware of the changes taking place in the society besides academics. In this connection, they should also take equal interest in sports and extra-curricular activities for the all-round development of their personality.
Dr Srinivas Ras said that newly joined students should act in accordance to changes and help build a better society. The students should make best use of their time, they advised. Time once lost, would not be regained under any circumstances, he added.
The campus wore a festive look with the active participation of large number of students in various cultural activities. Heads of various departments, teaching and non-teaching staff, students and others were present on the occasion.
