The Meteorological Department has made a favorable prediction for the Telugu states, with heavy rain anticipated in the next two to three days. A low-pressure area formed near the South Odisha coast has shifted to the North Bay of Bengal and adjoining regions. The department has predicted that this system will result in heavy rainfall in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Rains in Telangana

The effect of this weather pattern is likely to last until Sunday with the maximum rain predicted on September 12 and 13. The rains will subside between September 15 and 17. Moderate to heavy rains along with thunderstorms are predicted in North and East Telangana with some regions receiving 50mm to 70mm rain.

Moreover, Hyderabad and other districts of South Telangana are also likely to receive moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms on September 12 and 13. However, according to the Meteorological Department, the districts of Gadwal, Wanaparthy, and Narayanpet might witness relatively less rainfall.

Weather in Andhra Pradesh

The low-pressure system is also expected to bring moderate to heavy rains today and tomorrow across several districts in North Andhra. The State Disaster Management Authority has warned that gusty winds reaching speeds of 40–50 kmph could affect the North Coastal region.
