JE of electricity dept goes missing in Nandyal district

Kolimigundla: Expressingdeep concern, family members, colleagues, and local residents are searching for Chinta Lakshmana Swamy, a Junior Engineer (JE) with the electricity department in Kolimigundla mandal, who has gone missing under mysterious circumstances.

A native of Dharmavaram in Sri Sathya Sai district, Lakshmana Swamy has served as a JE in Kolimigundla for 14 years, residing locally with his family.

According to his relatives, he left home in his car on the night of September 8, informing them he needed to submit promotion-related documents in Tirupati.

However, his mobile phone has remained switched off since the following day, making him completely unreachable despite frantic attempts by family members.

After fruitless personal enquiries at suspected locations, his wife, Leelavathi, approached the Kolimigundla police on Sunday to file a formal complaint.

Acting on her report, Circle Inspector Ramesh Babu registered a missing person case and initiated an exhaustive investigation.

Police are exploring multiple angles, including potential professional pressures within the department and family-related matters. The exact cause of his sudden disappearance remains undetermined, pending further inquiry.

The abrupt vanishing of a long-serving government employee has sent shockwaves through the mandal, making it a prominent local talking point.
