Showers likely in AP and Telangana despite strange weather conditions
Sultry weather conditions have prevailed in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states after rains due to a depression. However, isolated showers are also possible according to the Meteorological Department of Friday.
Cyclonic circulation prevails over north coastal Tamil Nadu state and its adjoining areas up to a height of 1.5km above mean sea level. A north-south trough prevails from north interior Karnataka state to the Gulf of Mannar through interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu up to a height of 0.9km.
Isolated rain activity is expected in one or two places of Coastal Andhra Pradesh state, Yanam and Rayalaseema regions. Isolated thunderstorm and lightning activities along with wind speed of 30-40kmph are also expected.
In Telangana, some districts may witness light to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms and lightning. Some other districts of Telangana state will face intense heat during the morning period. The heat conditions may subside after midday with maximum temperatures of 34°C and minimum temperatures of 24°C.
