Six hospitals to come up in Addanki

Addanki: Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar visited Prasangulpadu village in Korisapadu mandal on Tuesday and inaugurated a Primary Health Centre built at a cost of Rs 1.77 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, he criticised the previous YSRCP government for neglecting rural healthcare and alleged that it had restricted itself to permissions and foundation stones without allocating funds for actual hospital construction. He said the coalition government under Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was now building new hospitals and completing projects left unfinished during the YSRCP tenure. Gottipati informed that six major hospitals, each costing between Rs 1.70 crore and Rs 2 crore, were being built in Addanki constituency alone. He said that 30 health sub-centres were also under construction. He instructed the PHC staff to ensure uninterrupted medical services to the public and announced that a compound wall would be built around the hospital soon. He also honoured land donors who contributed their property for the PHC construction.
After the PHC inauguration, the minister inaugurated a community hall built with Rs 30 lakh CSR funds in the SC Colony at Prasangulpadu. He also dedicated internal CC roads and side drains built at Rs 50 lakh, and a Jal Jeevan Mission household tap water scheme completed with Rs 33.70 lakh.
