Vijayawada: The Covid-19 patients in the hospitals in the city will be provided medicine with the help of robots. Hyderabad-based Circuit Grid Electronics and Vijayawada-based Harsha Academy jointly presented two robots to the Krishna district administration to help the medical personnel in serving the Covid-19 patients in the isolation ward without going near them.

The robots named Maitri, will work on Wi-Fi and are monitored by a smart phone from a distance of 20ft. Tanuj Kumar, director of Harsha Academy, presented two robots to district collector A Md Imtiaz at his camp office here on Sunday.

Durga Prasad, technical head of Circuit Grid Electronics, explained the working of robots which take medicines and food to the Covid-19 patients. He said that Circuit Grid Electronics is not only into robot making but also home automation in a big way.
