Why Parents Must Educate their Children About Risk of Underage Driving ?
Yes, it is the responsibility of the parents to educate their children about various risks as well as consequences associated with risk of underage driving. Many accidents do happen every day, but the situation gets worse when minors get involved. Sometimes the minors, without seeing much of their lives, tend to die young, and sometimes innocents become victims and lose their lives. And due to sheer ignorance of the parent who did not guide or educate about the risks to both families' lives
We find sometimes, few parents think it is an acceptable risk given the short distance of travel and low likelihood of an accident. However, this creates a very dangerous environment, where the minor feels it is okay to break the rules, putting themselves as well as others in danger without any sense of accountability.
When minors get behind the wheel without any proper training and licensing, they endanger themselves and everyone around them. The lack of experience and maturity can lead to disastrous outcomes as we have recently seen in Kerala, a minor boy driving a Mini Cooper and an accident happened and three precious young lives were lost. The minor boy is safe, but others need to bear the heavy price of losing their lives because of one small mistake. A minor driving a car without any knowledge of the risks of underage driving.
The parents have greater responsibility that they must educate their children about the severe risks and consequences associated with accidents while driving and why it is worth waiting to attain the right age and take needed training and get the driving license and then drive the vehicle.
