‘Danny’ promises a wild love drama
Love, emotions and rustic storytelling come together in ‘Danny’, the upcoming Telugu film starring Ashish Gandhi, Sejal Gupta, Sonal Singh and Azhar Khan in lead roles. Directed by Kalyanji Gogana, the film is gearing up for a theatrical release on November 20. Produced by Rizwan under the banners of Rizwan Entertainment and Kalyanji Content Pictures, the film brings together the team behind ‘Natakam’ once again. For Ashish Gandhi, the project marks another collaboration with director Kalyanji Gogana and producer Rizwan.
Describing the film as a “cult and wild drama”, Ashish believes ‘Danny’ will offer audiences a different cinematic experience. He also points to the music, particularly the songs penned by Rakendu Mouli and composed by Sai Karthik, as one of the film’s major attractions. Appreciating his co-star Sejal Gupta’s performance, he says the film has been an exciting experience. Director Kalyanji Gogana shares a strong creative association with Ashish and Rizwan, having previously worked with them on ‘Natakam’. He says their familiarity and understanding helped bring the project together.
According to the director, ‘Danny’ explores a different kind of love story set against a rustic backdrop. He also credits Rakendu Mouli’s contribution to the songs and cinematographer AK Anand’s visuals for adding to the film’s appeal. Producer Rizwan is equally confident about the project. A major portion of the film was shot in Goa, and he believes the team’s efforts will translate into an entertaining experience for audiences. The reunion of the ‘Natakam’ team has also added to the excitement surrounding the film. Music plays an important role in ‘Danny’, with lyricist Rakendu Mouli revealing that he has explored different stages of love through the songs. He has also written lyrics in English for the first time. Calling the film a special collaboration, he says this is his sixth project with Kalyanji Gogana. He believes the title song and the character of Danny will leave a lasting impression on viewers.
