‘Dorothy’ trailer launched in Hyderabad; Rana Daggubati praises the film

The latest blockbuster, ‘Dorothy’, starring Keerthy Suresh, Sananth and Rishikant in the lead roles, is all set for its Telugu release on October 2. The film, which has a unique storyline, is written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj and jointly produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain. The film has already achieved sensational success in Tamil Nadu and is now being brought to Telugu audiences through Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media. On this occasion, the film’s team organised a trailer launch event in Hyderabad.

Speaking at the trailer launch event, Rana Daggubati said, “I was very surprised to see ‘Dorothy’. Karthik called me a month ago and told me about the movie. The title seemed new to me, and he asked me to come and watch the film. I didn’t know much about the movie. I only knew that Keerthy Suresh was part of it. “I went and watched the film. When the story reached the interval, everything suddenly changed. I wondered what kind of story he had chosen. At first, I was scared, but later I felt very proud. It was really surprising that a director who had made a film with a superstar like Rajinikanth chose such a story and made a movie like this.

“He has beautifully addressed some things that we normally cannot talk about openly. That is why I came forward to release this movie. This is a very important film and one that helps us understand our society. I was moved after watching it.

“The two heroes have also done a wonderful job. We all travel along with their friendship, and it feels very real while watching the film. I wish Karthik the best and hope he makes more movies like this. The movie is releasing on October 2, which is also a holiday. I want everyone to go to theatres and watch the film. Thank you, everyone.”
