Mahesh Babu Wraps Up His Part In SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi

It is well known that Tollywood’s ace actor Mahesh Babu teamed up with the iconic filmmaker SS Rajamouli for the magnum opus Varanasi. Although the movie is scheduled to hit the theatres in next April, Rajamouli is determined to wrap up the shoot soon to avoid the postponement. Although he delivered many massive blockbusters earlier, the release date postponements of those movies have created a small negative impact on him. But with Varanasi, he is aiming to remove that small remark too!

According to the sources, Mahesh Babu also wrapped up his part and is officially said to be free from the sets. Well, the reports state that the makers completed around 90% of the shoot and are currently heading towards the final stages of production. They are also expecting to wrap up the remaining patch work by the first week of October to have enough time for post-production and VFX works.

As the filmmaker SS Rajamouli is aiming to release the movie in maximum foreign languages, even the promotions are set to play a key role to create a buzz in those countries. The team already unveiled the first look posters of Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran ahead of title launch event and also treated the music lovers with the launch of the theme song. So, their promotional strategy is breaking the ice ruling out the traditional promotional tactics.

Unlike the other movie teams, Varanasi didn’t plan their interviews ahead of the release, instead they already interacted with the International media a couple of months ago and doled out many things about the movie. So as the shooting is wrapped up, now they are expected to focus more on promotions and plan a promotional tour across the world to further create an excitement among the movie lovers and fans.

Well, Varanasi also has Prakash Raj in the prominent role and the makers also made us witness aggressive form of Goddess Chinna Mastani Devi in the glimpse. So, each and every element of this movie is creating a special buzz on social media making us eagerly await for the movie.

Varanasi is being bankrolled by K. L. Narayana and S. S. Karthikeya under the Sri Durga Arts and Showing Business banners while the movie is being made with a whopping budget of Rs 1400 crores. It will hit the theatres on 7^th April, 2027.
