Tollywood’s iconic actor Akkineni Nagarjuna’s niece Supriya Yarlagadda has been appointed as one of the 18 members of the newly reconstituted Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Well, even the Akkineni family confirmed the news and dropped a congratulatory message on Twitter. Take a look!

This post reads, “Heartiest congratulations to our dearest Supriya garu on her appointment as a Panel Member of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Wishing you great success as you take on this new responsibility and continue to make a meaningful contribution to Indian cinema”.

Even the Central Board of Film Certification - A statutory body regulating the public exhibition of films under the provisions of the Cinematograph Act 1952, also confirmed the news on social media and revealed the 18 new members of this board.

Well, this board also has A-listers of Bollywood like Manoj Joshi, Suniel Shetty, Preity Zinta, Pankaj Tripathi and Pallavi Joshi. Even Filmmaker Priyadarshan and Bengali actor Prosenjit Chatterjee also made their place in the list and are now part of CBFC board.

Supriya Yarlagadda needs no introduction as she already produced Dacoit movie with Adivi Sesh and Shruti Haasan.
