Suriya Turns Rowdy Cop in Scene; Title Glimpse Sparks Massive Buzz

Kollywood’s ace actor Suriya has become the talk of the town with his back-to-back blockbuster movies. Already he bagged the much-awaited blockbuster with RJ Balaji’s Karuppu in May. In August, he followed it up with Vishwanath and Sons, directed by Venky Atluri, which became the biggest blockbuster of his career. This movie minted more than 250 crores at the box office and is still running successfully in the theatres.

Well, Suriya already delivered two big hits in the second half of 2026. And now, he is ready to hit the big screens with his third movie ‘Scene’ which is scheduled to hit theatres this Diwali. The makers of this movie surprised his fans by unveiling the title glimpse yesterday and treated the netizens by highlighting his rowdy police appeal.

Unlike Singam series which highlighted him as a sincere and honest police officer, this glimpse introduces him as DSP Inbaraj, a fierce-inducing cop. On the other hand, he seems to be playful, eeccentric, unpredictable and willing to bend the rules to chase the criminals.

His stylish appearance in a T-shirt and shorts offers a refreshing departure from the conventional on-screen police look. Wow… how can a police officer be so cool? On the whole, this glimpse raised the expectations on the movie and made us await for its release too.

This Jithu Madhavan’s directorial is being bankrolled under the Zhagaram Studios & 2D Entertainment banners. It also has an ensemble cast of Nazriya Nazim, Naslen, Anandraj, Lal and Raj Priyan.

Releasing three films in a single calendar year is no easy feat. If Suriya can work it out, then why can’t others do it. Well, it is not a new thing to release more than two movies in the same year. Already our veteran actors like senior NTR, Krishna, Shoban Babu, Chiranjeevi, ANR and a few others worked back-to-back in three shifts and also had an experience of hitting the big screens more than five times in a year.

If reports are to be believed, Suriya's next collaboration with T.J. Gnanavel is expected to release during Pongal 2027, potentially extending his impressive run at the box office.
