Manasi Joshi Roy recalls her bonding with Lord Ganpati
As Ganpati festival is today, the actress Manasi Joshi Roy who portrays the title character on the television show Lakshmi Niwas has shared her bonding experience with Lord Ganpati.
The actress shared the moments which made her believe in the Lord and also spoke about the experiences which made her feel blessed. Speaking about being blessed by the Lord, the actress said that she was raised up in a Gujarati Brahmin household in Mumbai and there was always Ganpati around.
But Manasi specially remembers the year 1992 when she found her life partner, actor Rohit Roy. She remembers how she and her future-husband performed Aarti to Lord Ganpati at his aunt’s place and prayed to the Lord that their relationship comes together.
She describes that it was such an overwhelming feeling where she gets connected to none other than Lord Ganpati. Since then she kept on praying to the Lord for love and happiness and faced numerous ups and downs in her life. She also remembers how she fulfilled her mannat by bringing Lord Ganpati home for the first time in her married life in 1999.
It was such a blissful moment which she specially cherishes till today. But in the year 2008, she specially remembers how her six-years-old daughter brought the whole family together for the Ganpati festival. Her daughter gets curious to know why they are not bringing Ganu home like they used to do earlier and somehow manages to convince the whole family to bring Lord Ganpati home.
They all arrange the idol, decorate the place, prepare sweets and savories and enjoy the ten-day festival along with ten-day-long celebrations. Manasi says that she always remains indebted to the Lord as she gets overwhelmed by an immense feeling of gratitude specially during the first Aarti.
