The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad, observed Teachers’ Day with a programme highlighting the role of teachers as lifelong learners and educators. Addressing faculty members and students, Vice-Chancellor Prof. N. Nagaraju emphasised the importance of continuous learning in the teaching profession. He also spoke about the relevance of reason and critical thinking in education in the context of growing use of artificial intelligence.

During the programme, senior professors Prof. M. Hari Prasad and Prof. R. Kishore Kumar were honoured for their services to the teaching profession and contributions to the university. The programme was attended by Registrar Sini Manchala, Proctor Prof. Shyam Rao Rathod, faculty members, senior professors and students. Dr. R. Vijayalatha, Head of the Department of Education, welcomed the gathering.

Students and faculty members also presented skits and cultural programmes reflecting on the role of teachers in education and society. The performances focused on the relationship between teachers and learners and the responsibilities associated with the teaching profession. The programme concluded with an emphasis on the continuing role of educators in supporting learning and personal development.
