The Continuing Education Programme (CEP) at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has opened admissions for Batch 6 of its Executive Management Programme in Advanced Strategic Management. The 10-month programme is aimed at experienced professionals seeking to strengthen their strategic thinking and prepare for expanded leadership responsibilities.

As businesses face rapid technological change, shifting markets and intensifying global competition, strategic management is increasingly central to long-term growth and competitiveness. The programme seeks to help professionals understand how strategies are developed, evaluated and implemented in changing business environments.

The need for strategic leadership is also reflected in industry surveys. Deloitte’s 2023 Chief Strategy Officer Survey found that 74% of organisations had a chief strategy officer, representing a 12% increase since 2021. Meanwhile, the Spring 2025 Fortune/Deloitte CEO Survey found that 89% of CEOs were exploring, piloting or implementing agentic artificial intelligence (AI).

Against this backdrop, the programme includes modules on data-driven decision-making and the use of AI in business strategy. Its curriculum covers strategic intent and performance, strategic learning, innovation, strategy evolution, leadership and change management, business transformation, global business strategy, and contemporary strategic issues. Participants will also undertake a capstone project applying programme concepts to a real-world business challenge. Prof. Sanjay Dhir, Professor in the Department of Management Studies at IIT Delhi, said disruption requires leaders to respond as it unfolds, making strategy a core business need rather than merely a leadership advantage. He added that the programme is designed to help experienced professionals develop strategic thinking and apply it to workplace decisions.

The programme will be delivered through live online sessions using the Direct-to-Device (D2D) mode. Applications close on November 20, 2026, and classes are scheduled to begin on November 28, 2026. An optional campus immersion of at least three days will be available at IIT Delhi, with participants responsible for their travel and accommodation costs.

Applicants must hold a recognised graduate degree in any discipline and have at least four years of work experience. The programme fee is ₹1,70,000 plus GST, while the application fee is ₹2,000 plus GST. Participants who secure at least 50% marks and meet the minimum attendance requirement of 50% will receive an e-Certificate of Completion from CEP, IIT Delhi. Applications can be submitted at https://ceppay.iitd.ac.in/programAdmission?jobOpeningId=101.
